Blind Spots

We choose what we want to see.

We create a Bias, and then we defend it.

Here is an illustration.

“I just don’t understand this business. How can anyone see anything but random movements?”

Translation: I am smart, and this looks so easy to take money out of the market.

How come I can’t do it?

I can lead traders to the promised land, but they have to want to drink.

Slowly, patiently.

For all the aspiring traders out there please consider that there has never been a better time with more resources to get an education.

Decide to win, to make it, to take the time to learn and succeed.

Then look honestly at the market. Give it structure, add a few indicators, test some timing ideas.

If you are always going the wrong way, take the trade opposite of your intent.

Whatever it takes, be honest with yourself and locate your blindspot.

Here’s a hint. Listen to a coach or friend who is doing what you want to do.

We won’t see our own problems; that’s why we call it a blindspot.

Now if you shorted End of day Tuesday near the lows, after reading my posts about window dressing, careful shorts, the Boyz may become active now running into the close, it’s a Taylor Buy day, odds and risk reward now changing, that’s ok.

You made a personal decision and as long as you have the discipline to take your stop out, no harm, no foul.

Over time you will learn from the market and make your decisions accordingly.

Learning from traders/ teachers with 25 + years experience is a short cut, but only if we remove our self-imposed blinders.

Leave self-sabotage to others.
